Cherry Blonde Brownies: The Sweetest Treat

National Blonde Brownie Day is January 22nd! Add some dried cherries to this recipe and put a cherry twist on it.

What is a Cherry Blondie?

Blondies, sometimes called blondie brownies or blonde brownies are the non-chocolate version of a brownie! They are fudgier than a cookie with a bit of a chew factor. You’ll notice the batter is much wetter than your traditional cookie dough. These are some of the best blondies you’ll make!

Buttery, soft, chewy, and loaded with white chocolate and Montmorency Dried Cherries, these blondies are packed with flavor and they are the perfect easy treat when you need a dessert in a pinch.

What is the difference between a blondie and a brownie?

The main difference between a blondie and a brownie is the chocolate.

Blondies are occasionally referred to as “blonde brownies.” They are made without cocoa powder and aspire to a rich vanilla flavor rather than a deep chocolate one. Blondies are also made with brown sugar, which has a noticeable affect in the blondies.

How to make Cherry Blondies?

Montmorency Dried Cherries

Melted Butter

Recipes like cookies call for room temperature butter. However, in our blondie recipe we want you to melt the butter completely so that the blondies are dense and fudgy just like a brownie!

Extra Egg Yolk

The extra egg yolk instead of an entire second egg in this white chocolate cherry blondies will make them extra rich from the fat in the yolk. If you were to add an entire second egg, you would end up with more of a cakier texture.

Don’t Add Too Much Flour!

You will want these blondies to be gooey and fudgy. Adding too much flour will make these cake like or like a cookie texture.

Don’t Overbake Your Blondies!

Blondies are meant to be a little gooey, that delicious gooey texture makes these white chocolate cherry blondies feel extra fudgy! So look at the edges of your blondies, they should be set, but pull the blondies out before they look completely done. Don’t worry, they’ll continue to set up and cook in their hot pan as they cool.

Big, plump, and juicy. Our dried cherries are the best available. We start with the best Michigan Montmorency Tart Cherries and use our unique drying process to ensure they are beautiful, great tasting, and healthy.
