Your February Purchase Helps Support Michigan Cherry Farmers
Every February, Cherry Republic donates 2% of all sales to support Michigan cherry farmers and help protect local farmland. It’s our way of honoring the growers who keep our plates full and our Republic thriving.

A century ago, half of the population up north was farming. Today, only a fraction of us northern Michiganders are toiling in the dirt. It is great how efficient we've gotten at growing the fruit that makes our region famous. But let's not take this efficiency for granted because efficiency is not ease.
It's tough to be a farmer of any crop today and cherries are no different. Competition coming from other countries- Did you know that Cherry Coke is now flavored with Turkish cherries? Climate change is another challenge- This past year's weather has created really tough growing conditions. So tough that this year we may run out of cherries before we get to the 2026 crop.
There is no need to hoard, just an extra reason to appreciate these ruby red morsels of joy and how they get to our dinner tables. But just know, there is a farmer involved at every step. For 37 years, Cherry Republic has been supporting and recognizing farmers with seasonal programs like Love Thy Farmer, and our year-long 1% refundable duty to farms. Join us.
