These easy Cherry BBQ Chicken Sliders are the perfect crowd-pleasing dinner, game day appetizer, or summer party recipe. Made with juicy rotisserie chicken, sweet Hawaiian rolls, melty white cheddar cheese, and tangy cherry barbecue sauce, these baked chicken sliders come together in just 30 minutes and are packed with bold Northern Michigan flavor.
Ingredients:
- 12 Hawaiian sweet dinner rolls
- 3 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
- 1 cup Cherry BBQ Sauce
- 1 pack shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup finely diced red onion (optional)
- 3 tablespoons garlic-herb butter
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a serrated knife, slice Hawaiian rolls in half, ensuring they stay together as one top and one bottom slab. Place the bottom half of rolls on baking sheet.
- In a bowl, add shredded chicken and Cherry BBQ Sauce to a medium bowl and stir until chicken is fully coated.
- Layer half the cheese onto the bottom slab of rolls, followed by the BBQ chicken. If using, add red onions now with the remaining cheese. Sandwich everything together with the top slab of rolls.
- Melt garlic-herb butter, then slowly poor it evenly over the rolls. Spread the butter out with a spoon or pastry brush, making sure the top and sides are covered. Sprinkle parmesan on top.
- Cover sliders with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until rolls are golden brown on top.
- Slice sliders and serve!
