Cherry Stompers/Jr Leaders
After much consideration (and maybe even a few tears), we have decided not to continue with our beloved Cherry Stompers Summer Camp.
As you know, for the past three years the camp has been run by two amazing young people, Danny and Jordan. This energetic duo was responsible for the camp’s success, putting their extensive experience and qualifications to good use for the Republic and all of the spirited kids who participated. While it’s a loss for us, we’re happy for Danny and Jordan that they will continue to grow and stretch professionally in other parts of our beautiful country.
Rather than try to replace these two gems (with what would undoubtedly be 3 or 4 new people), we’ve decided to concentrate on our core business — supporting our cherry farmers by making and selling the best cherry products in the world. We hope you understand.
So what to do with your adventure-seekers this summer? The Glen Arbor Township and Glen Lake Schools both offer creative summer programs that I encourage you to check out. As for Hawthorn and Colebrook, they may get their outdoor camp experience with a week at Camp Lookout in Benzie County. We hope to see some of you there!
P.S. The Lemonade Stand will still be in full force, so be sure to sign up your young entrepreneurs!
