Cherry Republic Tree: Found!
The cherry tree that artist Kristin Hurlin captured in ink so long ago has become such a big part of our logo and labels, but has never been identified by anyone else. She took a picture of it and no one has seen that exact tree since. Recently I found myself looking for it. I think I found it on my way to work one morning. Take a look. Just like the drawing, it is beautiful and graceful. It has the same character and agelessness to it, just like Cherry Republic. Needless to say, we are really excited about this tree.

Stir-crazy Special!
How about one of our biggest sellers on special at a time when we most need a little pick me up? We are nearing the end of a long, stir-crazy winter, but spring still seems far from "around the corner". Will we citizens make it to the warm and sunny times? What can get us out of bed and through our day until then? Chocolate Covered Cherries!! Chocolate can save us. Cherries can save us. Nibble on them over the next couple weeks and soon, the sun will come. $2 off 1 lb. Milk Chocolate Covered Cherries now through March 19.

Mom is back in the Republic...
My mother came home last night. I haven't seen her yet, but I am sure she is tan and excited to be back. However, if this winter is anything like the others, when she returns she will have one or two good days but on the third day, the powerful March snow and cold in Glen Arbor will work its way into her psyche. Enter the big, bad mood. "Why on earth did I come home now? It's still winter!" she'll grumble. So, when I see her today, I will give her some Chocolate Covered Cherries. Maybe this will help her make it to spring.
