Recipe Section Debuts The new Recipe section on the website is now active. Thanks to the contributions of both the Cherry Republic Café and our great citizens, we have been able to start off with 12 recipes. Thank you all for your contributions, we were surprised at how many recipes we received that called for fresh cherries. We will be adding these recipes soon along with instructions on how to reconstitute dried cherries to make these recipes work year round! We are always accepting new recipes for the site! Either email us, or use the send recipe link on the site. |

Cold in the Republic, surprises on the way... It is 3 degrees out. Steph, Colebrook and I had an inside day filled with big time pillow wrestling, hide and seek, dancing to Jimmy Buffett around the fireplace, and bouncing Colebrook on the big red yoga ball. This past week Cherry Republic was in the Leelanau Enterprise. I showed our Whiting building project in TC to our State Senator, Jason Allen. And yesterday, my nephew Iskandar and I went kite skiing on Big Glen Lake. We tried to go ice fishing, but turned around after realizing we would have to walk 30 minutes into a 20 mph head wind to get out to the ice shanty. I am going to really surprise Steph on Valentine's-- I can't say what were doing-- she reads these too. But I will say that it will be a good Northern Michigan Valentine's. I hope that you all have a Happy Valentine's too! |
