Our election on October 13 continues to confuse even our own staff. How, why, where, (actually we know where it happened, Downtown Traverse City) and Who (okay, we know that too, The President, The Emperor, the Queen, the Dictator and the Bear). So we have some of the facts, but mostly the day was a blur of chaos, all be it fun chaos, but chaos nonetheless. Cherry Republic wishes you a Happy Halloween! With our products you can satisfy even your most ghoulish Halloween party attendee. Try a bowl of your favorite mix from Cherry Republic as a party munchies, or use in combination with some more traditional Halloween fare and you can make a good party great! Try Cherry Apple Cider. Combine 1 gallon Apple Cider with 1 cup of Cherry Republic Concentrate. Mix well and serve chilled. Another great fall treat is Cherry Cluster Carmel Apples. Melt 2 pounds of caramels with 1 Tablespoon of butter over medium heat, or in the microwave until smooth. Place stick in stem side of apples, and then dip apples in caramel, roll in Cherry Chocolate Nut Mix and place on a sheet pan to cool. Makes 7-8 medium apples. Substitutions for our Cherry Chocolate Nut Mix ~ CR Dark Chocolate Cherry Nut Mix, Original Cherry Nut Mix, CR Dried Cherries or any variety of CR Chocolate Covered Dried Cherries (on Special this week)!
On the Road...
This week I dispatch from Milwaukee, WI at the Christmas & Holiday Show, University School. It's a family trip for me. Steph, Colebrook, my mother-in-law Gloria, and my brother Tim are all along for the show. We drove around the big lake to bring cherries to the land of cheese. Gift shows are a great way for us to get out and meet some people. Speaking of meeting people, many of you will have been receiving our newest catalogs which feature citizens of the Republic. Next week, in an internet exclusive, we will introduce you to one of our favorite citizens, Kathy Lawson of Louisville, KY. Kathy is a long-time customer and we are excited to share more of her story and some of her artwork.
