NEW! Double Dark Chocolate Boomchunka Cookies!
NEW! Double Dark Chocolate Boomchunka Cookies are now available on the web. These are our answer to all those customers who don't eat nuts and like cookies with lots of big chunks of dark chocolate. We now have 4 types of Boomchunkas, every one of which has been a big hit. Well, except for the Northern Boomchunka Cookie, which had a very short life of just two months back in 1992. The cookie had chocolate chunks, peanuts, peanut butter, and other good things, but it was terrible. Why? Because it had no cherries in it. What was I doing selling a cookie with no cherries in it? Well, that was in my wandering youth - long before I learned to focus. If you like to focus on the good things in a cookie, focus your little arrow thing here.
Cherry Republic Army Jeep Debuts!
The Cherry Republic now has an official Army Jeep. It is newly painted with our flags, name, and motto. It attracted many looks and snap shots sitting in the gardens this past weekend. Special thanks to Don Dezenski for remodeling it (and loaning it to us). Want to see a few pictures of it, look here. And check out our growing army- hmmm, we do need to update our army uniforms. In addition to the fun photos of the jeep, we threw in a few other photos to give you a little feel for what has happened at the Republic over the past week. There was a Corvette Club visit, the Winery opened in TC, and the gardens were still looking good with lots of people visiting.

We can now send wine to customers in these states: Ohio, New Hampshire, Oregon, California and Michigan! If you are from one of these states, view out our wines here. Our big seller of the summer was Cherry Sangria. And our sparkling wine, Liberty, won a silver medal at the Michigan State Fair. Make a mimosa with equal parts OJ and our Liberty for a fun party drink.

Thanks for all your comments on the Zana Network video. We have been too busy to reply back individually to each of you who have replied, but Jon will do that soon. Also, for those that think that my Mom upstaged me, you have to understand that the crew had to re-shoot her part about 15 times. Her front teeth flew out once and her wig was crooked another time!
Weekend plans...
Steph, Colebrook and I are going to Song of the Morning Retreat Center this weekend. It is in the middle of the woods along the banks of the mighty Au Sable River, close to Vanderbilt. We really don't know much about Song of the Morning, but my niece Mariam works there and her birthday is this weekend so we thought we would surprise her. Getting over to the middle of the state will help us visit Hartwick Pines State Park. Steph really wants to hike in the big white pines.
