Island Journey...
My brothers and I are heading to the Manitou Islands this weekend for some camping and fishing. We will all jump on Mike's boat—it has a deck the size of a dance floor and can get us out to the island in 40 minutes. It is going to be hot, so we will also be snorkeling around the shipwrecks. They like bringing me along because I bring the food, bait and drinks. And as long as we or the fish don't get tired of cherries, everything is good.
Summer Review....
We are having a staff meeting this Monday to review the successes of the summer. I look forward to talking about the New Cherry Sangria, Confiscated Fruit Mix, the Cherry Spaghetti Benefit Dinners, the summer staff that brought the term "TEAM" to a new level, the orchard videos, the many cool t-shirts we created this year and our new Embassy in Traverse City.
