"The Harvest" the movie! Inspired by the Traverse City Film Festival, and our love of cherries, we present our new movie, "The Harvest." The film showcases one of the busiest times in the Republic, when the cherries move from the trees to the kitchens were the products we are known for are made. Watch the movie here! |

It's happening in the Republic.... There is so much going on! Steph and I watched 5 TC Film Festival movies. Our favorite was the French film "Moliere." Then on Saturday there was the Dunegrass Music Festival. The best group we heard there was Railroad Earth. Sunday we had a family cookout on Port Oneida Beach. Our champions for Tuesday's Boomchunka Monster Sundae eating contest were summer visitors Phil and Claire. Last night, we had a record turnout for our Cherry Spaghetti Dinner, which benefits Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear. We raised over $600! Tonight is our staff cookout on Empire Beach. There's so much going on, we hardly have time for the most important activity, (the one that brings us all to this region in the first place) swimming, swimming, swimming!! |
