NEW! Confiscated Fruit Mix!
The Fruit Import Act was written in the aftermath of the War of the Orchards. It states, "All fruit attempting to enter the Cherry Republic will be immediately confiscated. All confiscated fruit shall be reintegrated with cherries and consumed." This fruit in question (peanuts, almonds, cashews and of course bananas) has been reintegrated with cherries and combined with sesame stix to make a great Confiscated Fruit Mix. This 1.25 lb bag sells for $9.95. Look for another new product next week as we continue our July of new products!

Soda Pop Shop now serving Fresh Squeezed Cherry Juice!
It started as a challenge. Could it be done? It can! And it continues to be one of the most unique creations yet. Our juice press came straight from Germany, with no English instructions. So after a few "gemachts" (and a few other words that don't need to be translated), we are squeezing fresh juice every day. Can't stop in to Traverse City? We suggest the next best thing, our bottled Tart Cherry Juice and Cherry Juice Concentrate.

Good Times in the Republic...
I brought my swim suit to work this morning and plan on a 4 pm swim in Lake Michigan down at the end of Manitou Blvd, which was my swimming hole growing up. Tomorrow Jon and I go out filming in one of Cliff Boomer's cherry orchards. The Sangria is flying out of the Winery-- which means it's more than just a good tasting product, it's captured people's fancy! I talked to Terry Stachnik last night at the Leelanau Fruit processing plant at 9:30 pm. He was loading up with empties and heading back to his cherry orchard for one last delivery to the plant. His daughter Paige (who is working this summer in our Café) said he didn't get to sleep last night until long after midnight.
