Summer Shipping!
As things begin to heat up here in the Republic, and across North America, we recommend that when shipping chocolates to areas of 80 degrees and above that you choose one of our Freezer Shipping boxes and UPS 2nd Day Air Shipping. This is the only way to guarantee that your chocolate doesn't become a chocolate cherry brick. Please see the links to add a Freezer Box at check out. Additionally, choose UPS Second Day Air for your shipping method (if this method is unnecessary based on the destination, our staff will make the correct adjustment). Summer Preparations Continue....Getting Greener...
As summer gets closer, we are sprucing up things in the Capital of Glen Arbor and preparing to open our Traverse City Embassy. As we get ready for another great summer, we have become greener here in the Republic. We recently started replacing all of our lights with CFL bulbs which use at least 2/3 less energy than standard bulbs, provide the same light, and last 10 times longer. We will save $30 or more in energy costs over each bulb's lifetime and generate 70% less heat.
From the Energy Star Website: "If every American home replaced just one light bulb with an ENERGY STAR, we would save enough energy to light more than 2.5 million homes for a year and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of nearly 800,000 cars." We encourage you to use CFL Bulbs too! With all the savings you have, you can buy more cherries!
